You won’t see many gadget posts here but I was so wowwed by this camera that I felt like I had to share…
I’m talking about the 4k Panasonic A500, a wearable video camera that allows you to shoot, save and share in amazing 4k video quality. If you don’t know much about 4k video don’t feel like you’re behind the times. 4k video cameras are not that common, there are not that many TVs that broadcast 4k and only the most recent computer and mobile screens will deliver 4k content.
Before you watch the video and read a little bit more, I’ll tell you what I think are the 2 most amazing things about this camera:
- The price: 399.00! That’s more than the popular GoPro cameras but it’s 4k and…
- It will broadcast live over Wi-Fi. This is incredible. If you have a captive audience and you have wi-fi available from where you are filming the you are all set. That is really amazing!
UHD is a resolution of 3840 pixels × 2160 lines (8.3 megapixels, aspect ratio 16:9) and is one of the two resolutions of ultra high definition television targeted towards consumer television, the other being FUHD which is 7680 pixels × 4320 lines (33.2 megapixels). UHD has twice the horizontal and vertical resolution of the 1080p HDTV format, with four times as many pixels overall.
Televisions capable of displaying 4K resolutions are seen by consumer electronics companies as the next trigger for an upgrade cycle due to a lack of consumer interest in 3D television.
Without going into a lot of history and speculation, I think it’s safe to assume that 4k will be extremely popular as soon as more 4k content is available. IF you just can’t wait to get one they are only $399.00 @ Amazon.
